GHRP-2

GH-Releasing Peptide-2 · Pralmorelin

GHRP-6’s cleaner cousin — same GH-pulse mechanism, less reported hunger, so the community prefers it for recomp and cutting.

What it actually is

GHRP-2 (pralmorelin) is a second-gen GHRP that fires a GH pulse via the ghrelin receptor.

Users report far less appetite than with GHRP-6, making it the recomp/cutting choice, though a lab study still found it raised food intake.

Carl’s one-liner: The cutting GHRP: the pulse without the ravenous hunger.

How it’s thought to work

What the research says

Approved in Japan (2004) only as a diagnostic GH-stimulation test; some human PK data. Performance dosing is anecdotal. Not approved as a treatment anywhere, WADA-banned.

Reported protocols

These are the doses the peptide community actually reports running (Reddit & forums), alongside published research — logged for education, not as a recommendation to use.

ParameterCommonly reported range
Community dose100 mcg per shot (saturation); higher only when stacked
Frequency2–3× daily
RouteSubQ (IM also used)
Cycle8–12 wks on, ~4 off to avoid desensitization
Community tipGHRP-2 for cutting, GHRP-6 for bulking; run with CJC/Mod-GRF
Reality check: Unapproved research chemical, WADA-banned. Water retention, tingling, cortisol/prolactin at high doses, possible insulin-sensitivity dip — milder overall than GHRP-6.

Common use cases

GoalCommunity protocol notes
Cutting / recomp100 mcg 2–3×/day fasted
GH pulsestacked with CJC-1295/Mod-GRF
Sleep / recoverya pre-bed dose

Mixing it (reconstitution)

Freeze-dried peptides must be reconstituted with bacteriostatic water before they can be measured. Carl’s calculator turns “mg in the vial + ml of water + target dose” into “units on the syringe” — and tells you how long the vial lasts.

Injection & handling

SubQ (or IM), 100 mcg fasted, 2–3×/day; wait 20–30 min to eat. Commonly co-drawn with CJC-1295/Mod-GRF in the same shot. Refrigerate reconstituted.

Carl’s quick FAQ

GHRP-2 vs GHRP-6?
Same mechanism. Users report less hunger with GHRP-2, so it’s the usual cutting pick, but a lab study still had men eating about 36% more on it.
Why cycle off?
To dodge receptor desensitization — ~4 weeks off after 8–12 on.
The honest summary: GHRP-2 is the sensible default GHRP: a clean pulse with less of GHRP-6’s hunger. Unapproved as a treatment, and the 100 mcg ‘saturation dose’ is community consensus, not trial-proven.
